The moat is empty, and since the dry season had finally ended, they were eating the grass growing in it (they were shockingly thin).

Even though the temples are covered in Hindu carvings, there are also Buddahs everwhere, and they're still worshiped by locals. The whole temple complex is a place of worship.

On the temple grounds, there is an orphanage, living quarters for monks, and a public temple where teenage monks were leading the prayers.

Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chom, sister dieties thought to be Angkorian princesses made from brass and bronze. The statues were hidden from invaders by monks for generations.
