These were sold on the street outside our hotel.

A beautiful, hidden second-story coffee shop Sita took us to. They have music at night and wonderful fruit juices.

More beautiful colonial architecture.

The former US embassy, where the US command was during the war.

The tanks that rolled in, still sitting on the grounds.

The rooms are basically completely intact, left as they were when the US occupied the building.

There are rooms full of maps, rooms full of phones...

The room where the soldiers relaxed - complete with old board games.

The roof where you'd go to, say, be airlifted out.

Or you could be flown out from the yard.

In the basement are tons of old maps.

Does this prove we knew were were in Laos?

Room full of typewriters (imagine running a war before computers).

The area tourists aren't allowed in (very forboding, especially after wanderin through the maze of basement rooms).

The kitchen! Look at all the wonderful equiptment.

They actually still have the shooting range!

Sita is starting her own fashion line - beautiful cloths!

Sita and her husband, Tsering.

Their neighborhood, just over the river from downtown and nice an quiet.
